It snowed in Christchurch yesterday (not a lot but enough to leave the hill suburbs with a dusting of snow). So today I made my way up to the cashmere hills and took this shot in the park at the Sign of the Takahe.

Dusk is located in Poplar St and has this gorgeous orchid out the front of the store.

Taken this morning on a cold wintry Christchurch day. This blossom is either very late or rather early! Either way, it’s a little confused. It might be all blossom and new blades of green grass in the Northern Hemisphere, but down under its winter and getting cold (snow is forecast…

This is in Poplar Lane. The lane has a number of bars and eateries, as well as some rather cool looking shops (and a men’s barber shop). The whole area is pretty cool and I intend to get some more pics when I have some better light to work with…

This is part of the gate that goes from the Botanic Gardens to the Christ’s College grounds.
