Continue reading →: First Settlers PlaqueThese marble plaques are in Cathedral Square. They have the names of the people who arrived on the first four ships that settled Christchurch. The first ship, the Charlotte Jane, departed Plymouth Sound, England in 1850. The remaining three ships were The Randolph, The Cressy, and The Sir George Seymour.
