I went for a walk along the beach today and ended up having a coffee at Scarborough Fare cafe and I just had to have some of this most delicious lolly cake as a reward for my walk 🙂

This has brought back so many lovely memories. My granny always had a tin full of lolly cake waiting when we visited Christchurch, and even posted some to us here in Australia! I have her recipe book now and am going to try a batch this weekend.
