Each Autumn a Kotuku (white heron), turns up in Christchurch. It spends much of its time on the water race by Linwood Avenue. However, I’ve twice seen it in Ferrymead Park since our lockdown.

    Beyond the great capture you made in the first photo of this Kotuku, as for the background I can perceive by the depth of the shadows cast below Castle Rock the sky must had been incredibly clear with very little if any haze. Beautifully captured indeed!
