The paved promenade that follows the Avon river through the city was officially opened today. There were stilt walkers and performers and despite the rain people turned up to complete the walk and the compete in a quizz about some of the landmarks along the route.

    I’ve often wondered how the arches under bridges were made. Now I know, as looking under the bridge I can see the imprints of wooden forms they used to pour the concrete over. Great details! Great virtual tour of the official opening of the promenade too!
