Today is the 5th anniversary of our major and very damaging earthquake. One of the ways the anniversary was marked is with the River of Flowers commemoration. I contributed some of my own roses and watched as the many flowers floated down the river. It’s certainly a lovely way to remember.

The beauty and the sadness shared during such a solemn commemoration — no doubt people will always remember. Well captured.

Idyllic, and fitting given the occasion.
