A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
This was my view from my kitchen window this morning. Since the start of spring, we’ve often had kingfishers in the gum tree, and in particular they seem to like the bow of the branch. I’m fine with that, as it makes for a more interesting photo! During spring they also become rather noisy with a constant keek keek keek call. Pretty birds though and very good hunters.
