I’m not sure what this machine is called but it was on the Heathcote River by Aynsley Terrace and I think it pulls out the weed in the river.

I believe that second photo was taken not far from my wee flat when I lived in Chch in 2007 (on Wherstead). I used to walk across that bridge all the time!

Actually, you’re pretty close. Manufactured in Germany, its official name is “Heidenkusteflussmachinendingsbums”
