The beautiful Monarch Butterfly in Woodham Park. Over winter they cluster together in large groups in large trees in parks and reserves that are close to a source of nectar.

    Beautiful captures indeed!

Just curious if your camera can be set to macro mode and zoom simultaneously? I discovered this combination quite by accident on my camera and discovered I can get some closeup shots (within a few metres) that otherwise would have been difficult if not impossible.

      Hi Robert,

It’s hard not to get great photos of these wonderful butterflies! They are quite high up in the tree and I used a 300mm lens to get these shots – I have got a macro setting I could use so must try that sometime. Thanks for the tip!
