A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
A few photos from my walk up flowers track today. It was quite windy at times, hence the very choppy water .
Love this scenery, and especially the view overlooking Scarborough Beach at Sumner! Always wondered what the track looked like along the way up ever since a friend of mine (also living in Christchurch) sent me a photo from the overlook back in 2008 — now I know. It’s beautiful the whole way up.
Also did the Google street view thing starting from the Ferrymead Bridge all the way to the Flowers Track trailhead for surroundings context – took a hour or so but your pictures were like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! 🙂
PS. I believe I’ve now got a major new time-consuming hobby, and your pictures at the end are well worth the time spent after wondering what the road trip looked like along the way. Keep up the great work as I’m enjoying your photo treasures in a huge new way!
