These road cones are being put to good use at the Telogis Concept Christchurch on Tuam Street. It’s by Jamie Munro and the cones are on loan from Fulton Hogan.  It can’t be too long before someone in Christchurch writes a book entitled “101 surprising uses for a road cone”. Bet it would be a best seller too.

I loved that letter to the Press a fortnight or so ago by a man who’d counted the cones around sites, hundreds of them “defending” the trenches.

Just a thought, if there are road barrels as well as road cones, somebody creative could create a road cone monster to be placed in a prominent place that would surely attract attention. We had a road cone monster created by a uni student that made the news in a big way a few years ago. Personally I thought it was great!

Look up Road Cone Monster in Google images for pictures.

I ‘googled’ the road cone monster – very creative. I have not seen the road cone barrels in use here, so it would be hard to make the monster without them I think. Though some clever person could give it a try and then I can photograph it!
