Spotted in Lyttelton today. The sign reads ‘it doesn’t matter how slowly you go, as long as you don’t stop!”

This is great advice for any situation really – no matter what you are trying to achieve you’ll never get there if you give up. Christchurch might take a while to get back onto its feet, but it will get there. Progress after all, is still progress, even if it is rather slow.
