Sunrise this morning

I drove up to the top of the Port Hills about 7.30am this morning to watch the sunrise. It’s a beautiful day so far – very warm and still and it was lovely to be out in the fresh air and watch the light change across the water. I used my long lens to zoom into the clouds and got some interesting effects.

The Kaikoura mountain range was very clear.

About 8am along the estuary – the light was a lot better, but by the time a found a safe place to park (which is getting harder and harder in Christchurch!) the light was just not as good. Never mind, I’m still happy with what I captured.
