This is the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, the Roman Catholic basilica on Barbadoes St. As you can see, it has sustained a lot of damage, but a lot of it is still standing. I loved this building and was always in awe of it when I drove past it. I’ve been inside and even took my Mum to a Latin mass there when she came to visit (that’s something very special for the older Catholic generation). I’ve taken a lot of photos of the Cathedral over the years, and I sure hope that it can be saved so future generations can enjoy it too.

I can see why you and your Mum love this cathedral. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Michelle, you’re welcome to visit my last two posts about ANZAC Day commemoration in Jerusalem.
