I’m not sure who this statue is of… (a young boy in overgrown clothes) I have not seen it before, but found it while wandering around the gardens at Mona Vale this morning with my photo club. It’s located next to the fernery, and was quite a challenge to photograph due to the difficult lighting. I’ve played around with the exposure and saturation to increase the dramatic effect.

It was lovely walking around the gardens early this morning as there was a light drizzle of rain which had kept the hordes of people away (and out of my shots!).

I don’t blame the kid for wrapping up – the weather in Christchurch has been wintrish lately, much to the dismay of my relatives who arrived from Oz on Saturday!
