This photo is the first in my ‘Around the World Christchurch’ series – of citizens of Christchurch that were born overseas. This is the lovely Emma, who was born in Fall Creek Oregon in the good old USA (not far from THE Springfield where Matt Groening is from). She was the first to volunteer for the series (thanks Emma!). Emma is depicting a ‘Stepford Wife‘ – a stereotypical American housewife from a certain era. She attended a Halloween party dressed like this, so we thought it was a fun way to kick of the photo series.
