Spring (nearly)

A wooden bench surrounded by blooming daffodils in Hagley Park, Christchurch, with cherry blossoms in the background.

It’s not technically Spring yet (that will be 1st of September) but try telling that to the blossoms and the daffodils. These shots were taken at Hagley Park late this afternoon.  I met a couple from Wanaka who mentioned that they’ve not got blossom yet.  Christchurch has been getting warm and windy days, and the last few days have been around 19 and 20 degrees Celsius. If you are in Christchurch, I highly recommend you make your way down to the daffodil park (near the Hospital) sooner rather than later – the daffodils don’t last. And if you have a toddler, then it appears to be compulsory to put bunny ears on them and get them to pose amongst the daffodils!

Love the daffodil shot – the bench and trees provide contrast to the sea of green and crowd of daffs
