A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand

Snapped early morning at New Brighton Beach.
When I saw the small photo on the portal I thought it was an alligator leaping out of the water. What a surprise to see a bird.

Boy, it must be tough: have to get up early in the morning, go down to a beautiful beach with sunrise and fantastic birds flying by.
I feel sorry for you.
But I must say, amidst my sorrow, that is a gorgeous shot.
