Worcester Street

This picture was taken 8 years ago as one of my entries into the “Fresh Perspectives” photography competition. I’m happy to say this one made the exhibition (though it was not a finalist). But I was happy enough just to see one of my photos mounted and in an exhibition. I’ve not entered any competitions since then, mainly as I took quite a long break from photography (due to the costs). But with my move to digital photography my interest was renewed

Worcester Street runs off the Christchurch Square in a East to West direction. This sign is at the corner of the Square and Worcester Street looking East. The building is the Heritage Hotel.  Interestingly, my photography style has not changed much in 8 years – even back then I liked to play with angles and perspective and liked to look up at my subjects!
