Regret & a Girl

Something a little different.  I took this quite late in the afternoon, and though I am really happy about the composition I turned the photo sepia as the colours were not quite right. The scene is Hagley Park around 5pm by the Archery Lawn.  The sculpture in the pond is ‘Regret’.

I have tried taking photos of this sculpture in the past but have never got anything I am happy with. Your image is stunning (I might have been tempted to burn in the horizontal line of light at top right as it is a little distracting)

Thanks Nick. Regret is definitely not easy to photograph at all! Especially with a basic digital camera. But I’ll keep coming back to it, as it’s an interesting challenge! I’ve got some whimsical photos of ducks bottoms right by the sculpture!
