A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
This is one of a series of dolls I saw at the Arts Centre this past weekend (I’ll post the rest during this week as they are really striking artworks). This is the baby one, and is my favourite. Now, I once read somewhere that ‘cute’ actually meant ‘ugly but interesting’ and I personally think this face fits that description rather aptly!
That is one ugly dolly. Fair dinkum though, it is the the spitting image of my cousin (no oil painting herself).
I’m keen to see the other art now.

Hey hello there! How’s life in Christchurch? I’ve been contemplating migration to New Zealand for the longest of time (not to Christchurch though, but more specifically Dunedin). I mean how is it exactly in NZ?
