Continue reading →: Horseman Sculpture on Bealey Avenue
Spotted on Bealey Avenue at the entrance to a motel (think it was the Southern Comfort). An excellent land mark for people trying to find the motel – there are quite a few motels on Bealey Avenue, so a great way to stand out.

Continue reading →: Rainbow this MorningA cold day today with a rainy start. I saw this rainbow this morning and made a dash for my camera – rainbows I’ve discovered can very quickly disappear when you decide to photograph them. This one appears to end in the Heathcote River.

It was certainly a fun afternoon and I highly recommend you try to do as many of the stores as you can (there are a lot!). But, this comes with a warning, you will…

This is a new building on Gloucester Street. Local law firm Anderson Lloyd have taken naming rights on the building and are now located in the building after operating from a converted warehouse for three hours (after our quakes). Continue reading →: Cleared Residential Red Zone New Brighton Road
Cleared residential red zone land by New Brighton Road. It’s quite surreal to walk along this road and I’m not a local resident, so I can’t begin to imagine what it must be like if your home was once here. This land was ‘red zoned’ due to earthquake damage that…
