Thomas Edmonds Band Rotunda Dome
The dome of what was the Thomas Edmonds Band Rotunda which used to have the Retour Restaurant in it. The dome now just sits on the ground on Cambridge Terrace. New Building Going up on Kilmore Street
This building has been going up for a few months – it’s on Kilmore Street and can also be seen from Colombo and Peterborough Street. It has some fairly impressive steel beams.

Transitional Cathedral gets some Windows
The stained windows are now being added to the Transitional or ‘Cardboard’ Cathedral in Latimer Square. Apparently the Cathedral will be complete in late June.

Bronskis Dairy is Open Again and the Mural is Back

St Pauls Church in Papanui
This church is in Papanui on Harewood Road. I don’t know if it was badly damaged in the earthquakes, but it looks like there is work being done on it. And, as can be seen in the picture below they are raising funds for the repair.

The changing face of Christchurch – it can be pretty fast!
At about 10.30am this morning I walked down the Re-Start mall and noticed they’d started demolishing this building (it had been a week or more since I’d been into the mall). At about 12pm I walked past again to find it was now in a big pile of rubble. That’s pretty fast work I think……
