Donated by the Songpa-gu Office
Carver – Korean Master Carver Kim Jong Heung
These were traditionally placed at the edges of villages to mark boundaries and ward off evil spirits. They replace the original jangseung carved by local Christchurch Korean artist Aaron Seo which suffered wood rot.
