I read on Facebook that there’s been a lot of work done to save the monarchs in this Ilam Reserve from rats – with a lot of predator control taking place. And it’s working, as you can see there were Monarchs there today. There’s also a lot of community planting around the river and it looks really lovely. I was surprised to see ducklings though – surely July is too early for these wee guys?
