Dawn Raids Mural

This mural by artist Kophie Su’a-Hulsbosch is on the corner of Armagh and Manchester streets and honours Pacific people who lived through the dawn raids in the 1970’s where alleged overstayers were arrested in the early hours of the morning.

    I can identify this with a similar situation presently going on in the U.S. – a sad era of history in the makings.

      Yes, I’m following the situation closely and thought the mural was very timely. It’s a fairly dark period of our history.
