I was going to make this blog post be about the Gazanias (also known as African Daisy) that are putting on a stunning display on Bridle Path Road. But I got there a bit late, and realised that the flowers close if they don’t have direct sun on them. So while they are still lovely, it’s not quite the picture I had in mind. So, I continued on my way down Ferrymead Terrace (which is directly above Bridle Path Road), snapping as I went. It’s quite remarkable how well the gazanias are growing into the cliff.

Here are some other flowers you’ll see around this area. Many of them are probably escapees from people’s gardens, and they’ve found the ideal environment.
