What a stunning place to freedom camp. I was just visiting for a family BBQ but it was obvious to see how lovely the area is with even the covenience of a toilet block provided. The drive there from Ferrymead was a bit circuitous and I realised I’m very much a city slicker now and was shocked at how narrow the country roads were and how fast some drivers still went despite all the T junctions. On the way back I stopped for a family of quails on the road! Fortunately there were no other vehicles about.

I remember my eldest camped out there with a few mates close to 40 years ago, I have to say it looks a big improvement now! LOL
