A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
The cherry blossoms are simply spectacular in the park right now. While I was there taking photos, I saw several ladies dressed in Kimonos having their photos taken under the trees. So for a minute, I was transported to Japan. But then, you just have to look at the flax to realise where we are – I found it an interesting contrast photographically.
They are such a cheerful sight to see.
