Starting in Ferrymead Park near the entrance to the golf course, this track follows the Heathcote river to Tunnel Road. That’s where it used to stop but I discovered today that you can duck under the bridge that goes over tunnel road and keep going along the river to Woolston.

Rather than going over the bridge and walking back up the Tow Path track we took a track to the left and ended up in the commercial area of Heathcote. We then followed the river to The Tannery and after a short refreshment break made the walk back along Ferry Road / Tow Path track to Ferrymead.

Thanks Fi. Did you get my sore feet! I did over around 25,000 steps yesterday.

It looks like a good spot for a walkabout.
