The beautiful Victorian precinct in Oamaru is a must-stop for me when I’m on my way further south. It’s usually lunch time when I get there so I break up my 6 hour drive with a walk around the town and a bite to eat. There’s a nice cafe right on the harbour which is often packed but has a lovely view of the water. Years ago, before I realised what was there, I used to drive straight through! Oh what I missed!
