On Sunday afternoon, I was lucky enough to be a visitor at the NZ Opera rehearsal of La traviata. It was stunning and such a wonderful subject to photograph (also a little challenging with the theatre lighting!). Even if you don’t know the story, you’ll recognise the music of Verdi. For the full story of the Opera read the Wikipedia entry at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_traviata

The photos feature members of the chorus and Madeleine Pierard as the courtesan Violetta Valéry and Enea Scala as Alfredo Germont (her love).

Here are the details of the performances:

When: Thursday 14 July – Saturday 23 July 2016

Where: Isaac Theatre Royal

Book online at: http://premier.ticketek.co.nz/shows/Show.aspx?sh=TRAVIATA16
