Bee on a Sunflower

Another hot day here today, so it seemed appropriate to post a picture up of one of my sunflowers with a bee visiting. I’ve also recently installed a bird bath with a stone in it to make it more accessible – and it turns out the local bees are making use of the ‘bee bath’. I actually didn’t know they drank water, thought the nectar would have been enough. So, you learn something new every day. The next goal is to get a photo of a bee drinking out of the bird bath – they’ve been a bit shy so far!
