A path leading through tall grass to a beach at New Brighton during late afternoon, with soft waves and distant hills in the background.

The weather is still cold and there’s been a brisk wind all day long, but I ventured out to the beach at New Brighton to catch the late afternoon sun.

A long pier extends into the ocean with a person walking along it, surrounded by waves and a clear sky.

I really like the lighting in that first shot. The water does look choppy.

It was really windy an freezing cold! I need to get a pair of gloves I can use with the camera.

The great thing about Autumn is you don’t have to wait very long for the lovely light to happen at the end of the day.

Thanks Anna, I get that comment a lot on the Facebook page too, and it always makes me feel a little guilty 🙂
