There was an open day at the Isaac Theatre Royal, which provided an excellent opportunity to have a closer look at the details of the theatre renovation. Such a beautiful space. If you missed out, like their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/IsaacTheatreRoyal, as it looks like there will be another open day in April.

And if the length of the queue to get into the theatre is anything to go by, this theatre means a lot to a lot of people. It was a fund-raiser for the theatre and I hope they did really well out of it.

I will have to admit Isaac Theatre Royal does bear a remote resemblance to Carolina Theatre in Durham, North Carolina, but you’ve got something in Christchurch much more ornate and with huge attention paid to details especially inside Isaac Theatre Royal. This is truly a treasure!
