These flowers on Main Road are part of a promotion for the florist on Bridle Path Road – I often see the flowers out and decided they’d make an interesting subject while out on my walk this evening. It’s been quite an eventful day in Christchurch with hot weather and strong winds fanning the flames of a big scrub fire on the south west of the city. Apparently many parts of Christchurch could smell the smoke, but as I’m on the east side I couldn’t personally. The wind fortunately died away making for a very pleasant evening.
