I bought a new bike today and was very exciting to get stuck into some cycling. So my partner and I cycled from our home in Mt Pleasant into the Tannery shopping centre in Woolston and shouted ourselves an ice-cream (and mine had salted caramel topping).

On the way back, rather than go along Ferry Road we took the pathway ‘the Tow Path’ that runs beside the river. Its a nice ride. This shot was taken as we went under the bridge that is on Tunnel Road (goes to Lyttelton) – I’m not sure if this section is technically the Tow Path or not.
