A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
The container shipping mall was opened back in 2011 as a way of getting people back into the central city. I’ve been a big fan of it ever since and am a regular visitor. Now the north side of the mall is being moved to the block by Tuam street so that a new building can go up.
As you can see from the sign, it will be back up and running June 13th.
The crane was lifting some steel framing.
