These blue shadow people are being painted on the boarded up shops in New Regent street (the few that did not get renovated). They are part of a project called ‘Frieze: Stand in the Sun’ by local artist artist Jeremy Sauzier.     Hi,A few years ago I Was very privileged to lead my ACTIVE CHRISTCHURCH WALKS Sunday Group on the 75th Anniversary of New Regent Street and I and the architects son and the Developers daughter cut a cake in commemoration.Vicki Buck was involved too. I had 135 walkers with me.

    Christchurch is definitely blessed to have artists such as Jeremy. There’s a few boarded up shops in my hometown albeit not due to earthquakes etc., and with what is called ‘art’ painted upon them but nothing anywhere close to the quality and eye appeal of Jeremy’s work!
