My Bronze Sunflowers

Last year, I had a go at growing sunflowers for the first time ever. They didn’t do very well in our soil – it was too try for them. So this year I have put them in containers and have planted a mix of your regular yellow sunflower and the bronze sunflowers pictured. The bronze sunflowers are doing really well and I discovered that one plant can have a number of flower heads – so I get to enjoy them for quite some time. I highly recommend sowing some next year.

Michelle, you did quite well this year with your bronze sunflowers — I’m very impressed, and I see you’ve discovered your green thumb too. Now I’m inspired to try these where I’m at once the weather in the northern hemisphere warms up!
