This Rebuild Zone sign is on Avonside Drive near Fitzgerald Avenue. I seem to recall reading that the signs have been put up by SCIRT (the organisation that is fixing the infrastructure of Christchurch). The rebuild is gaining momentum at the moment with various streets closing to repair underground infrastructure. The signs are there to remind everyone that the central city is open for business, but to be patient as there could be road works within the four avenues.
