Bunting and Christmas decorations on the the bridge in Heathcote. This is one of those bridges that LOOKS like it was designed by an engineer :)….

    Used to be a one lane bridge/tunnel and then they widened it.

    The only thing missing is the obligatory garden gnome perched upon the ledge overlooking the traffic below. We had a spree a few years ago in a nearby city (look up Durham gnomes) where numerous bridges (and buildings, signs, etc too) had different gnomes perched in high places overlooking the traffic passing below — that is until about a year later the majority of these gnomes went missing… but it was fun while it lasted and had lots of people talking about them and asking questions — they even made the local TV news too!
