I’ve seen this pair of quail a few times recently. I also see a pair on Bridle Path Road – but I’m not sure if they are the same ones – if they are then they don’t mind a trek up a steep hill!
They are very comical characters – they dart all over the show when they spot someone, then they’ll stop and start coming over until they realise again that you are danger! I wish I had my zoom lens on me when I see then – but I never do, so had to settle for a cellphone picture today.
I believe they are California Quail
