I spent this morning walking around the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve on Husseys Road. I honestly don’t remember when I was last there – years ago I think, and I don’t believe I’ve ever featured it on the blog before. So I was well overdue for a visit. I’m so glad I went today, it was a beautiful morning despite a prediction of rain, and thanks to springtime there were some very cute baby animals. I was particularly fascinated with the eels – as were many others. There’s something rather captivating about how far out of the water they will come when being fed.

It’s a lovely spot to spend a few hours – and you need at least that amount of time to see everything.
