These beautiful boots are made right here in Christchurch by local company Canterbury Leather International. I got a tour of their factory today and it was fascinating to watch the boots being put together – and I couldn’t help but notice a lot of the staff there were working in a pair of their own boots. I’ve also got a pair of their boots and I’m pretty certain they have vastly contributed to me feeling a lot warmer this winter.

Canterbury Leather make both boots and slippers under the brand name Canterbury Sheepskin and they have an online shop at http://shop.canterburyleather.com – I think the slippers in particular make an excellent father’s day present.

It’s wonderful to see such an awesome product coming out of Christchurch and being shipped all around the world. It’s not easy being a manufacturer and exporter in New Zealand, so remember to buy New Zealand made and Christchurch made if you can!
