I went along to the Buskers in Hagley Park today. It was a hot and sunny day and the park was really busy with a lot of people out enjoying themselves.

A very funny act – one I’d seen years ago and I laughed a lot. Still funny all these years later!

You are so fortunate to be living in such a great city where annual Buskers festivals have become so well established and looked forward to by so many people!

My hometown city has recently evolved from being one of a number of most staid cities into becoming a bit more liberal in terms of the arts, but it seems when such people as myself included suggest having a first annual buskers festival, albeit small by Christchurch standards, our suggestions seem to fall on deaf ears. *sigh* People here in my hometown (and surrounding areas) just don’t know what they’re missing, besides a boost to the local economy!!
