McLeans Forest is a popular recreational area for walkers, cyclists and anyone just wanting to hang out in a nice outdoor area and enjoy some fresh air. I was there today for a picnic as a Christmas work-do. I don’t get there very often as it’s way on the other side of town, but I certainly do appreciate it when I am there. It’s a lovely spot.
I really love that centre picture! Looks like a tranquil place where one can forget about the world and get into their zone to soak up all of what nature has to offer and leave feeling refreshed — great place for taking along one’s best canine friend for a walk too 🙂
McLeans Forest is just down the road from Steam Scene too, which may be an interesting place for some unique photography in the future when they open it up to the public for steam fests or the likes.

Yes, it is a tranquil place. Quite a few dogs running about and having a lot of fun playing catch. I’ve been meaning to check out Steam Scene – looks quirky and interesting, which always makes fantastic subject material for the blog.
