The Poet Tree

This is a poetry / art installation by Poetica on Cashel Street (near Les Mills). Today was the last day it was up. The artwork is supposed to be on the wall (judging from other photos I have seen). Oh well, I left it a bit too late, but I still wanted to record its temporary existence.

According to Poetica’s Facebook page the Poet Tree may return at a later day in a different location.

The poem is by a Japanese poet Matsuo Basho and was painted by a local calligrapher, Toyoko Takane
