There was a street rally today, calling for democracy to be restored to Christchurch. Since our earthquakes the central government agencies appointed to the rebuild and recovery of Christchurch have had quite sweeping powers (for example they’ll be able to compulsorily acquire land from landowners if negotiations to buy buildings in the CBD falter).

It’s a fairly monumental and unprecedented task to rebuild an entire central city that’s all I’m going to say on the subject 🙂

However, I will say, that this dog is super cute! And I love the way it’s mirroring it’s owner as it’s walking along!
