Butterfly Fence Now (Mostly) Completed

A collage of images from the butterfly fence (and the butterfly mailbox which I rather like). The fence is at the top end of Ferry Road – just before the roundabout that takes you to Lyttelton.

A sign has recently gone up on the fence advertising Butterfly Therapeutic Body & Foot Massage – which is located there.

I’m not sure who the graffiti artist was who finished the fence – I saw him working on it after he had offered to help out. He’s done a great job adding some wonderful embellishments to the fence – it’s so cheerful and colourful.

POSTSCRIPT: since publishing the post on Facebook I’ve now learned that the fence still has a little bit of work left to be done on it. The artist is Richard ‘Popx Art’ Baker

    Thankyou for your comments on our WONDERFUL Butterfly mural painted by the VERY Talented ` POPX ` Richard Baker, we wanted to brighten up Christchurch by adding Love Ch Ch look closly at the mural you`ll see the word LOVE in the painting. If anyone else wants to brighten up a wall fence…. anything please contact Popx on Facebook

    Thanks Arna for the information about Richard the artist of the fence. He has indeed done a wonderful job of it. The comments on Facebook are so positive and people definitely want to see more of this around the city.
